EMOTIONAL WELLBEING FOR RELOCATION: SPEAKING IN THE PRIMETIME KEYNOTE FINAL

SHORTLISTED TO SPEAK IN THE FINAL

Following my 5-minute keynote on Sunday 23 September 2018, I was delighted to be shortlisted to speak again on Sunday 30 September 2018. The event was the final of the PrimeTime KeyNote Speakers training programme. The aim of KeyNote is to bring more diversity to stages around Asia. It was an amazing training experience. Our trainers were all experienced speakers from the KeyNote Directory and we covered a wide range of topics to improve our speaking.

EMOTIONAL WELLBEING

It was an amazing opportunity to add to my initial speech on emotional wellbeing for relocation, as we were given 10 minutes to talk in the final. This time around, I was able to share more details on the competencies which make up emotional wellbeing. Emotional wellbeing is vital to relocation because people typically experience so many challenging feelings throughout the relocation process. The strategies to engage emotional wellbeing are simple yet powerful, as I shared with the audience.

A TOPIC WHICH RESONATED WITH THE AUDIENCE

I was blown away by the judges’ comments, particularly their recognition of the value of emotional wellbeing. The audience reaction was also very positive, with many nods of agreement as I discussed the emotional stress of relocation and simple strategies to address those challenges.

NEW MEMBER OF THE KEYNOTE SPEAKERS DIRECTORY

It’s very exciting to announce that I was one of three finalists invited to join the KeyNote – Asia’s Women Speakers Directory! The aim of KeyNote is to bring more diversity to stages around Asia and I’m honoured to be listed among such experienced speakers.
